Welcome to Melethil Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, located in the beautiful city of Wilsonville, Oregon, since 2007.

Specialty:  Natural healing models for the treatment of chronic and resistant conditions — chronic pain,  illness or health concerns that do not respond to Western medical interventions.   Scope of Practice

Many chronic and resistant conditions, e.g., chronic pain syndromes without prior physical injury, allodynia, headaches that resist treatment (e.g., migraines), chronic fatigue syndromes, and a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions, like functional dyspepsia and heartburn, can pose challenges to diagnosticians.

The etiology of these patterns is better appreciated using a System level integrative perspective rather than the reductionistic approach used in Western healthcare.  These approaches require us to think of the patients’ health concern in the context, i.e., Environment, in which it manifests.  Additional clues come from “environmental” factors that either aggravate or ameliorate the persistent dysfunctionality (Disharmony), including location, and stressors affecting the patients’ state of mind. For these reasons I am asking clients to state in their own words, what they are experiencing using the  Patient Medical Narrative form (PMN).

Please fill out the  Patient Medical Narrative 2023 if you are interested in learning about the Integrative Health (IH) services available at this clinic.
¨¨¨  House Call Consults are a new feature of our IH Services. ¨¨¨
Following a review of your health concerns and a determination if this clinic can help, you will be contacted within two days after receipt, to schedule an appointment.
If there are concerns about intercepted e-mails, the completed narrative (PMN) may be sent via USPS.
Thank you for helping us schedule our services efficiently to serve you better.

  Covid-19 Update (October 2023)

Did you know that acupuncture has long been recognized as a non-drug  treatment for nausea and vomiting?  Here is some recent info from the National Cancer Institute, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Society for Integrative Oncology on the use of acupuncture for these side effects associated with chemo and radiation treatments for cancer.  Please contact the clinic if you are interested in improving your health and your appetite as you battle cancer.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a 2000+ year old natural herbal medicines and holistic healing system. It  treats health complaints by removing blockages to the flow of blood and bio-energy, known as Chi (Qi).  TCM uses acupuncture, TuiNa (acupressure/Chinese massage and muscle alignment) and herbs.  TCM has been used to reduce pain due to chronic and resistant conditions, such as arthritis, headaches, lumbar (low back), and gastrointestinal  pain, and acute trauma to soft tissues such as accidents (automobile) and  injuries.

In Oregon, you can see a Licensed Acupuncturist without any need for referrals and your Personal Injury Protection (PIP) insurance will cover the costs. Having worked with elderly and fragile patients, my techniques are gentle and effective for pain relief due to soft tissue injuries.

Due to commitments to environmental health and sustainability issues, my hours are flexible, and I schedule appointments by telephone.  If you wish to discuss your health concerns before scheduling a visit, please contact us after you have sent the MACM Patient Medical Narrative.

In case of cancellations, please provide at least 24 hours notice.
